A new home for Brown and Hurley's Tamworth truck dealership - showroom, office, parts store, workshop and washbay, built in precast across almost 2,000 square metres.
Brown and Hurley has been supplying trucks to the Australian transport industry since 1946, and today runs 17 locations across Northern NSW and Queensland, from Kyogle through to Cairns, selling and servicing Kenworth and DAF trucks. Their Tamworth branch at 43 Jewry Street needed a purpose-built base to match - one site that could handle vehicle sales, servicing and parts under the one roof for a business operating at this scale. The brief covered a new showroom, office, parts store, workshop and vehicle washbay, built to support a busy commercial vehicle operation in the New England region.
Segboer Constructions delivered the project as a new build in precast construction, bringing five separate functions - showroom, office, parts store, workshop and washbay - together across a combined 1,925 square metres. It's a genuine mix of building types under one roof: a retail showroom out front, commercial office space, and an industrial workshop and washbay behind it. The build ran for around six to seven months and was completed in 2020.
The result is a purpose-built facility that gives Brown and Hurley significantly more space than their previous site, with a modern, state-of-the-art finish across the showroom, workshop and parts store. It's a dedicated home for truck sales and servicing in Tamworth, built to handle the daily demands of a busy regional dealership within their wider network.
Past clients include Tamworth Regional Council, national retailers such as Supercheap Auto and Brown and Hurley, transport operators including Careys Freight Line and Kenworth Truck Service and Sales, and long-standing rural and commercial clients across the region.
